First workshop 2012

Friday, January 6th, 2012

The first Writers Forum Workshop of 2012 will be Saturday 4th February 20123:30 for 4 at Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon Rd

For non regulars who have not therefore been consulted:

for the last two years , our usual early start has been problematic because of inclement weather; but that may have masked a change in our holiday behaviour; because, this year, with the probability of mild weather, we found that few could actually have made it anyway and would have preferred a later date

Three years in a row, however the presentation of a problem changes, cannot be ignored.

Now that this problem has been identified, we can adjust the schedule to accommodate the wishes of the majority; but it is too late now to fix a new extra date.

Therefore, the workshop for 7th January 2012 has been cancelled after consultation with everyone; and we jump to what was to have been the second meeting

Hope to see everyone + new faces there. All are welcome

In the last few days, I have had a major computer problem. No problem, I thought and reached for the back up. & then I found that, though it was saying it had backed me up, it had actually been doing something incomprehensible and apparently useless

I had notes on publication plans. They will have to be restored and that takes time.

The aim was to start the year with an illusion of efficiency; but there is, in fact, no rush. Nothing was due for a month or two; and the change to meeting schedule has already been announced.

Briefly, new titles are due from Jeff Harrison (USA) and Matt Robertson (Australia & UK) and, later, mIEKAL aND (USA) with reprints of Bob Cobbing and Tina Bass.

And that’s just the start
